The "Hall Of Tortured Souls" was an easter egg within the Microsoft Excel client.
Players would make a blank excel sheet, go into the 95th row, fully select it. Then tab over to the column B. Go to Help/About. Tap and hold CTRL+ALT+SHIFT, then click the tech support button. Then the game would appear
This "game" was the inspiration for one of the rooms in the video
